In 2020/2021 we partnered with the great folks at Tracking Y Ranch and JK Livestock to return cattle to Flying M.  We held 6 (once a month) sorting practices and 1 cattle orientation class.  We started off with 2 man sorting and worked through some kinks along the way, eventually switching to 3-man in March and April to speed people through runs.  The cattle held up great and everyone seemed to have a great time.  We managed to make it through all the COVID restrictions and provide everyone with an opportunity to get out and play with the cows.  Whether you were a beginner or an expert, had a partner (or 2) or not, there was a place for everyone here this year.   We are looking forward to the fall to return sorting and possibly other cattle events and can't wait to see you all here again. 

 

We've continued to host cattle events with Tracking Y Ranch each winter since 2021.  In 2025 we returned Team Penning to Flying M.  This year we changed our schedule to accommodate team penning, moving our monthly introduction to cattle orientation to Saturday mornings and holding team penning on Sundays.  Our cattle events are low stress intended to get all skill levels involved with cows.  Never seen a cow, come out and experience the arena and sorting pens from the outside or sign up for one of the orientations, Veteran of sorting, enter into the jackpot runs or participate in the year end buckle runs..  We really aim to get everyone involved here at Flying M Stables.
